| .It`s Friday night as the
crowd begins to gather for the dance contest at The Zoo, Hollywood`s
most uninhibited disco nightclub. Arriving to the beat of disco`s
most popular music is a diverse group of colourful characters, each
hoping to catch a bit of the glamor and glitter of the swinging disco
night-life. Tony ( Jeff Goldblum ) is the owner of The Zoo who tries
to "make it" with every girl that walks in. Frannie ( Valerie Landsburg
) and Jeannie ( Terri Nunn ) are 15-year-old teeny-boppers who sneak
in looking for the perfect dance partner. Nicole Sims ( Donna Summer
) is a young, dynamic singer hoping to break into stardom. They, ans
a score of others, share one incredible Friday evening as The Commodores
